The re-make of a famous artwork

Ida Frosk started doing the food art in 2012. She was posting her work on Instagram, which soon brought many followers and positive responses.

"the art toast project" came from the idea of making art more accessible. The main inspiration came from the literal meaning of "food art". 

Those are colourful and very creative. Unlike other work that Frosk has produced, this project was to spread the love for art.

As much as I quite enjoy looking at the art I am not a massive fan of coping someones art. Even if it is done in a different form, I still believe that if the work was her own design, I would enjoy it much more. 

Klaus Enrique is a photographer who creates art that has a historical context to it. 

He uses food to imitate the faces, which he then takes photos of. 

I think that Enrique had a very interesting idea and what he can do with the food is incredible. His work really look like humans. 

His style proves that there is nothing that we could not use to make a interesting and unique art.

We were supposed to re-create an already existing piece. We started with 10 minutes sketch, where we were given the drawing or painting to draw. Then we had to guess what they meant to represent. It went quite well and it proved that as long as we keep the location of objects and the basic shape, the artwork can be recognasible withing another piece that is re-creating it.

For that we were using things that we could find and the lego figures. My friend and I did not want to make something easy, which sandly turned into us not being able to finish off what we started.

We decided to re-create the creation of Adam by Michelangelo.

It looked pretty hard to do so we saw a good challange.
We used some materials that represented certain things from the paintings such as the land, the sky or the floating material held by angles.

To represent the angles we used the priness characters, because they were females they reminded of being innocent and good like the angels do. There were also big and small alien which also worked for God and Adam as simialr to each other creatures where one of them is the "father", the "creator" and the other one is the "son", the "creation".
